Airlines to Congress: Stop Norwegian Air!

I think that any notion that this particular brand of Norwegian will give higher levels of service is misplaced. My belief is that this is allow cost service (good) but high density configurations flown by principally non EU flight crews.
It is fundamentally wrong for the US airlines to request "protective legislation" when they cry free market at every opportunity. They have a choice to make. Free market with it's consequences, or a more regulated market that would keep Norwegian at bay but more closely regulate the US airline activity. I do not think they want the latter.

Would the EU have the balls to limit the number of flights by US carriers into Europe if this was to happen?
