Qatar to replace B787 with A350 to Singapore
Qatar Airways plans to operate the Airbus A350 XWB on its Doha-Singapore service, replacing Boeing 787 aircraft that were introduced on the route less than a year ago. The carrier will also upgrade from two to three flights a day using the new aircraft. (atwonline.com) Daha Fazlası...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
The 787 is already being phased out??? What???
I haver a feeling they will not totally phase out the 787 even thou they state it...but they have so few and have ordered 80 A350's
The aircraft manufacturers do these deals all the time...where they offer to sell or move the competing manufacturer's aircraft. Boeing recently did a similar deal with Air Canada...offering to buy back some of their Embraer E190's in exchange for a large 737 deal.
Somewhat Airbus biased piece here. No info on what the 787s will be doing and makes it sound like they are replacing them all together. A unbalanced piece of journalism.
“We will increase the frequency of the Doha-Singapore leg to three a day from June, and we also plan to phase out our 787s as new A350s arrive from Airbus,” Qatar country manager for Singapore Joan Wang told ATW....I think that says it all..Qatar are phasing out the B787 which isnt a good thing for Boeing
