If this was a power outage as claimed what happened to their backup power supply. I would say that they would have a UPS battery and a large diesel powered (preferably Caterpillar) generator.There is more to this than they are saying.
Was wondering the same thing. Its not like these things were just invented and hard to get. I am sure that a large city like Atlanta has companies that supply backups. Even if the their own Backup was down surely that backup has a backup!
The backup power worked - the server failed during transfer to the backup power supply. Also the backup server failed. Airlines have multiple redundancy for IT but as with all computers, it is possible for backups to fail.
Right. Everything fails simultaneously. Gimme a break. They got hacked.
Uh, Boss, I strongly recommend that we invest in an Uninterrupted Power Supply and a Large backup Generator for our Delta Data Center. "Johnie, get out of my office, That could cost $100,000 or more. Stop bothering me with these silly ideas."
Southwest has a similar problem a few weeks ago and now Delta. Is it 'black helicopter' to be suspicious?
