An easyJet A319 airbus aborts its landing at Amsterdam's Schipol airport after wind tipped the plane dangerously. The press don't half sensationalise. The aircraft was under control.
True. The second attempt was described as "wobbly", it looked to me as a very smooth landing...
Wasn't this about the same thing that happened at Maderia the other day and the pilot went ahead and landed. I wasn't there but as I was that close, with one down, I think I'd have dumped everything and put it down. Might have been a tad on the rough side but it would have been down, and although he/she made it, I personally don't think a go round was in order. JMHO
Ever flown into KRNO? The winds coming over the top of the Sierras are crazy!
Been awhile but I been there. Every now and then you get lucky and miss 'em but not often. LOL
