Sorry, I knew it was a 737 for sure. I didn't add the Model 700 designation so not sure how that was added. I don't know the many details that differentiate the models.

From this angle, the easiest way to tell that this is a 737-300 is to look at the wing. The Next-Generation 737s have a completely different wing from the older 737-300 models. In particular, the flap track fairings under the wings are grey and pointed on their 737-300s, but are painted orange and don't come to a point on their 737-700 models (that are in the normal livery).

Taken at KSJC - San Jose, CA.
Has anyone noticed the distortion of the building behind the right wing tip caused by the wing tip vortices? I thought my lens was broken! I have lots of shots before and after and you can see the progression of movement of the vortices across the background scene. I had never seen this before. Take Care.
