Douglas A-26 Invader (N99420)
Comments
Excellent bomber and fast.....
What a FINE machine!
Beautiful.
A true multi-task workhorse in many conflicts. Bomber, ground attacker, Recon etc., etc. And, pretty and fast.
Also know as the "Widow Maker"...if my memory serves me right!
the widowmaker was the moniker of the Martin B-26.
After entering service with the United States Army aviation units, the aircraft quickly received the reputation of a "widowmaker" due to the early models' high accident rate during takeoffs and landings.
