I have flown for a few hundred hours a Porter PC6 powered by the Turbomeca Astazou II in the mid-seventies. It was the initial turbine version before the Garrett TPE 331 and the PC6 Pratt & Whitney. We bought it from Air Alpes in France. We used it as a skydiving platform and for cloud seeding to protect vineyards from hail. Excellent climber and diver.

With modern turbine engines being so light - you've got to move them WAY OUT for balance!
