Regional carrier Alliance Airlines Flt Unity 3252 departs off Rw 05 at 0731 bound for BHP mining town Olympic Dam about 320 miles NNW of Adelaide.

Behind the aircraft is the original control tower. It and the ancillary buildings are now the airport fire service base.
Won’t be quite getting shots like these for too much longer, if at all, as this was taken from the newly tried location which because of snakes, will be too risky to get to as the weather gets warmer. The safe location about 200 ft east of here will be used but there are obstructions to dodge and then when it heats up, distortion adds to the problem. I’m enjoying it while I can!

Thanks Darryl. Got plenty of these here, but I heard recently Alliance will be replacing them with jets sometime in the next 6 months or so.
Nice shot Gavin-just carry some snake repellent!
Thanks Mike. Snakes aren't the only problem, though are dangerous ones, but heat haze renders the spot pointless because of the distance to the subjects. Time to find another spot.
