Douglas DC-3 (turbine) (C-FGCX)
Comments
These old birds will never die! Terrific shot, beautiful light.
Perfect lighting for a great aircraft! They don't make them to last like this classic anymore.
Excellent conversion
That's a really nice shot, James!
Simply Magnificent!
Just wondering if the frame has to be readjusted to the strain generated by the turbine, vis-a-vis the piston engines?
Does this icon have the dichotomy of having turboprop engines and cloth control surfaces?
Wonder plane, and terrific photo.
Wonder plane, and terrific photo.
I think I saw another DC-3 Turbine conversion. It is just so cool. Love those old birds, flew in one operated by Trans-Texas (?). That was a stock Piston engine.

Great shot of an iconic bird.
Great shot! Actually now continues life as a "Basler BT-67" thanks to Basler Turbo Conversions in Oshkosh.
WoW! Winner! Congratulations!
