This one is a twin engine layout, albeit, its two Honeywell F125 TFE1042-70 turbofan engines are said to be only rated at 9,500 lbs. each of thrust with with afterburners in use. Any perceived inspiration this type might have drawn from the F-16 would, of course, be quite understandable considering the time line and era of its design. You should view a side profile (which appears rather slim when visually compared to the F-16) and other profile views of this aircraft before jumping to any strongly held conclusions, however.
