Love the Angels.
Love the Scooter. Kept me alive through many carrier landings.
Brings back childhood memories!
Looks like she needs to be flying! Great photo.
Where are the numbers? Is this a static display? From the looks, I'd assume this scooter came off the line in California before the McDonnell-Douglas merger in the mid-70s (an E or F model). I know at one time Blue Angles chalk 1 aircraft was an F model A-4 Serial number 71-54983 (I have a picture). During Viet Nam, the US military was buying aircraft rapidly enough that serial numbers went to five digits fairly early in the year. I suspect this Serial number is actually 71-54176. It would be nice to know what slot he Angles flew her in as well.
Serial is actually 154176, USN Bureau No. I think FA system adds the "dash" when uploaded. An absolutely beautiful shot too!!
