de Havilland Dash 8-400 (N442QX)
The first winter snowfall in the Sierra Nevada was a wonderful sight for drought-stricken northern Nevadans to see, but it makes it rather difficult to see this Horizon Dash 8, N442QX, as it glides in toward runway 34L at KRNO. At least the background is "appropriate" to the name on the plane: Alaska.

Makes for a stunning shot Gary!
Excellent shot, Gary! It's getting cold here too. The aircraft and background mix nicely!
Hi, Mark. TYVM for the comment. (Big wave)
Dwight, TYVM for the compli. As for the temp, I know you well enough to know that no matter how chilly it gets, you'll still be out there snapping pics. And BTW, have you bought your new camera yet?
