Bill Hall, to expand upon John Bramble's reply: an ACMI pod sends back (and/or records) all sorts of telemetry about the flight which, when matched up with the telemetry from all the other aircraft in "the fight" allows for a detailed playback of the entire dogfight. Think of it sort of like FlightAware's flight playback, but if it were MUCH more high fidelity, and if you could watch multiple aircraft at the same time.
