Passenger plane overruns landing strip in Japan

A Korean Airways passenger plane has overrun the landing strip at Niigata Airport in north west Japan.

The Boeing 737 had departed from Seoul's Incheon International Airport. On landing in Japan it came to a halt on the grass. No injuries were reported.

The aircraft was towed back to the tarmac and authorities are carrying out investigations to find out what caused the plane to overrun.
