NCCU Dean And Tuskegee Airman, Dr. Stewart B. Fulbright Dies At 91
Dr. Stewart B. Fulbright, 92, a Tuskegee Airman during World War II who later became the first dean of the School of Business at North Carolina Central University, died in Durham on January 1. Born in Springfield, Mo., in 1919, Dr. Fulbright attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo., graduating in 1941 with a bachelor’s degree in French. I can't wait until the movie "Redtails", scheduled for January 20th. This is the movie that was made about the Tuskegee Airmen and from what I've heard about the "sneak previews", it is going to be a hit.
Then maybe you need to see the HBO version of "The Tuskegee Airmen" with Lawrence Fishburne (1995) to give you a little more historic appreciation for the group. I was proud to have served under, and personally met, GENERAL CHAPPY JAMES http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_James,_Jr. before his retirement and subsequent passing many years ago. One HELL of an individual.
