That was a nice flight. Made me wonder why he never showed the rightside. I didn't see anything special hanging from it on landing. I dig the stall tuft.

It is surprising that whatever it was, duct tape maybe,?? that this is still fluttering in the wind on the nose cone at probably the 70,000 foot level. This can be seen between 6.45 to 6.55 minutes of the clip. Any one have any explanation as to why this is still attached at such a high speed.

Definitly not duct tape.... Not sure what it is, or if it supposed to be there for a reason... I saw it to and was wondering.

Its a stall tuft. If the angle of attack nears stall the pilot will see the disrupted flow.

The U-2 is basically a powered sailplane and Yaw strings are seen on most sailplanes.
It not only provides a visual clue to AOA, but is primarily used as a slip indicator.
As for why no right side footage, he was flying with his right hand and holding/moving the camera with his left. Easier to shoot the left side.
