FAA sends mobile ATC tower to Irma-damaged US Virgin Islands airportFAA delivered a mobile air traffic control tower to Hurricane Irma-battered Cyril E. King International Airport (STT) in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, Sept. 13. I have to say. I think that's the first time I've EVER seen a MOBILE ATC tower! That is friggin AWESOME!!!!! That's ALSO a GREAT thing the FAA is doing to try and help get IRMA-affected airports back up and running!
Nice to see, quick and efficient.
