You mean you're not supposed to just JB Weld the prop back into shape after you shave an inch off after getting too close to that pylon?

...or speed tape the wing tip back on after clipping another plane at the airport?

Remember how they found out about how those idiots at AA were hanging the engines incorrectly on their DC 10s in the 1970s? They were still trying to get away with it in the 1980s. It was faster then using the proper engine mounting system.

Hey, not to worry, props are a non-critical item! If the springs just look good, they're right to go! Those manufacturers are just weak pussies! You know, things still keep working with broken springs! Rules are made to be bent, profit comes first in the heartland of Capitalism!

Where was the regulation and oversight in the control of this facility? If they were on the ball, surely the regulators would have checked that the facility had the necessary spring test equipment, to properly repair the McCauley props?

Yet, 47 improperly repaired McCauley props slipped through the system before someone (no doubt a lowly airframe fitter) picked up, that the springs in the reconditioned props had never been tested?
I guess it took the broken spring they found, to be the real giveaway?

What next? - turbine blades that don't need to be checked for cracks, because we don't have the crack testing equipment?

This is some SERIOUS negligence stuff here, I am sure some PRETTY PENNIES were paid to have this SERVICE done. FINES and IMPRISONMENT for the MANAGER is in order, Look at the POTENTIAL DANGER, the OWNERS thinking that the PROPELLERS are AIRWORTHY because of the CERTIFIED TSPOH, when in REALITY the SPRINGS are reaching their FATIGUE POINT.

Can you please STOP with the EXCESSIVE capitalization of WORDS in your posts? It makes them DIFFICULT to READ and DILUTES the IMPORTANCE of what you are TRYING to say.
