NTSB Release Initial Report on Atlas Air Crash

Still too vague a report. Was the crew to level off at 6,000’ then hit a microburst/downdraft which could explain a thrust increase to full power to maintain altitude. If the tail was still intact it may explain the slowly rising nose of the aircraft due to excessive airspeed but we wait for more info. Really interesting that no shaker was recorded as CFIT recovery with full power normally does?

Laughably bad analysis in the article. More like the author trying really hard to justify his preconceived belief of what happened. Windshear/turbulence event pretty unlikely at that altitude and that position relative to the weather (which didn't even look that bad based on radar I've seen). No windshear or terrain warnings from EGPWS. 4 degree pitch up not even remotely close to what would happen in true windshear recovery. No attempt by pilots to pull plane out of dive even though no reported structural failure according to NTSB. Crash is still a big mystery pending more details from NTSB.
