Terrifying moment plane crashes into Ferris wheel

eklendi

The video of the ordeal has been released for the first time since it happened at the Old Bar Beach Festival in 2011 in Australia. A girl who was on the ride repeatedly screamed "it's going to crash" as she filmed the plane before the impact. The pilot is suing a NSW local council after he crashed into a Ferris wheel in 2011, while the now 21-year-old girl who was on the ride is suing him and the council. today I've learned that a Ferris wheel can hold quite a bit of extra weight

Was the ferris wheel a permanent fixture, or part of a traveling amusement company?

I love the pilot and passenger just sitting in the cockpit hanging out of the ferris wheel. Looks like someone stole their puppy.

When in doubt, Sue everybody in sight. Maybe the young women should sue the weather bureau because it wasn't foggy which would have precluded the pilot from taking off. And maybe the pilot should sue his mother for raising an idiot!

You mean you couldn’t see a ferris-wheel?

It's not a very big one, but it did sound like the pilot was looking more at trees than the gray/white of the ferriswheel. did look like a particular cloudy day too... Never been there so i dont know though...

It looks like the airport was a grass runway to the right side of the ferris wheel in the video frame, and the plane was departing at the time but not climbing at a steep enough rate needed to clear the attraction.

Wires I can understand. Trees don’t move, but a ferris-wheel? I suspect not paying enough attention to the task at hand?

Could have been loading? Or the pilot could have been paying too much attention. Or the pilot could have been acting negligent and found a convenient scapegoat

I have a feeling he was show boating.

I like the internet because know-it-all jerkoffs write entertaining comments.

I would like to know if he did a preflight weather briefing. Was there any NOTAMs issued for that runway?

Do you use X-plane or P3D?

Old old old news and video clip. Just The Sun regurgitating old news hoping that people had not seen it before.

The speculation on this has become ridiculous. I suggest that everyone read some more details before commenting:
https://www.atsb.gov.au/publications/investigation_reports/2011/aair/ao-2011-126/

This started with a landing on a wet grass strip which was rejected after touchdown. There were no NOTAM's issued on that day and the ferris wheel was not marked as on obstruction.

Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. I woinder if he logged it.
