United Airlines puts 787's in schedule for May 31
CHICAGO – United Airlines is putting the grounded Boeing 787 back in its flight schedule, even though the plane is still grounded by government authorities. (www.foxnews.com) Daha Fazlası...It is no crime to be over optimistic. After all , if some thing goes wrong and flights are cancelled or rescheduled who suffers ? The helpless passenger .
Refunds will not get them bookings ! And refunds won't hurt any airline because they are incurring NO EXPENSE for cancellation or rescheduling !
No ?

Er.A.K. Mittal...If something goes wrong, the airline will do it's best to do a "Equipment Change" and get you to your destination. Or...book you on the next available flight, "On Line or Off Line". There is no "Helpless Passenger"! Believe it or not...passengers think that they are entitled to an upgrade or voucher of some kind. True, it does happen. Like "Overbooking". Airlines have to cover themselves because passengers book flights multiple times to make sure they have to have a seat by the wing, the aisle, the window...maybe the bathroom! Come on. This is a machine we are talking about! Plan accordingly! Machines break down.
No! You need people, offices, time, communications, and the interwebs to make a booking and the same again to change it. A cancellation is a missed sale, and rescheduling depletes a future sale.
I don't think they are overly optimistic. People who know what makes a balloon go up have redesigned the battery system, and it is ready to fly.
