Two small planes full of skydivers collided with one plane breaking apart immediately and the other was able to safely land.

2 planes carrying skydivers collide in northwestern Wisconsin; no major injuries reported
None of the nine skydivers or two pilots sustained serious injury when the two planes collided in midair Saturday evening in far northwest Wisconsin near Lake Superior. Officials with the Federal Aviation Administration were in the area Sunday talking to those involved, and the cause of the incident was still being investigated

The divers were any way in bail out mode ! All they had to do was to jump out a trifle too early ! And this is what they must have done.
