Test Pilot Admits the F-35 Can’t Dogfight
A test pilot has some very, very bad news about the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Well, in an earlier post, somebody asked what did it matter, that they should be fighting standoff anyway and not dogfighting. Well, there is the element of surprise. The other guy might not get the memo, kinda like when the MIG's came out against no gun F-4's back in the day. They didn't have guns cause we weren't supposed to dogfight anymore and somebody said something about this hunk of junk not even having a gun until about 3020 and then only able to go 600 rounds, about like a good fart,
Not a bit surprising to me with all the budget messing around between Congress and the Air Force. All the Military idiots were just "desk jockeys' that wanted so much "junk" in the F-35 it would have to weigh more then B-737 thus making the airplane useless for anything other then being a chock on some ramp.
Don't forget how surprised the U.S. Air Force was when the N. Vietnamese sent up MIG 21s that could fly faster and out maneuver anything the US flew at the time. The F-4 was only useful in a straight line but couldn't out turn or out maneuver the MIG, NOR could the F-4 outrun a SAM missile. Thus the Hanoi Hilton came about, another U.S. fiasco.

They could not out turn the MIG and no they couldn't outrun a SAM but the could dang sure outrun the MIG.LOL
