This video is really no different from the hundreds of others that are out there. Perhaps this specific video has been unseen, but this view or perspective of the event, has been seen many times. To be honest, i don't think this should have been posted. I have the image of the planes going into the towers etched on my f_cking brain! I think we all do. No need to post supposed "unseen" footage. Sorry, just the way i feel.

Thank you Alistair Morrison, I think instead of focusing on "exciting new videos" maybe we could sit back, and remember all the innocent people we lost that horrible day. Maybe to the palm beach post, this is a "great new angle" to see several hundred people fly a plane into a building, but hopefuly to most of us. Its a tragic reminder of a day we would all like to forget. Im sure any terrorist would smile and be glad there is organizations like the palm beach post that publish their accomplishments. Im sad to see this sort of thing imorialized..I hope most of us true Americans agree....

Of course this video should have been posted, and I thank Mr. Littlejohn for doing so. Yes, the memories are clearly etched into my mind as well, and my stomach still flips when I see the related images. But should we bury this (and similar videos and pictures) because they nakedly reveal “inconvenient” truths of our country’s history and cause some to squirm? Well, It’s not about “us” and our feelings, is it?

My Godchild was four years old on that horrible day; now, a freshman in high school, he asks what is all this 9-11 stuff he has recently been hearing. I tell him my own recollections of the day, of course, but my words to him do not nearly describe the horror that an extant video does. Most true Americans *do* want to remember; moreover, we want to educate Americans, who were too young to remember, about this barbaric action against *their* country.

Why rely on the revisionists’ history when we have access to pictures and videos of the actual event as it happened?

I appreciate the comments on both sides of this subject, and respect that opinions may differ. I did not post it with the intention of being insensitive or shocking. The Palm Beach Post (source of the article and publisher of the video) is one of the more respected newspapers in the country. Because this video was vetted by them and featured prominently on their site, as well as their paper, I did not feel it necessary to censor it here. Some people may prefer to never see this sort of thing, and others may watch it over and over.

While someone above has said "we would all like to forget" 9/11 - that isn't true for everyone. In fact, many might say that is exactly what we should *not* do.

Newspapers, websites, blogs, radio and TV are currently saturated with people re-telling their 9/11 stories - and discussions about how life has changed since then. I do not believe a line was crossed by forwarding a Palm Beach Post article here.

Thanks, Alistair, my sentiments exactly. Brian, your comment about a terrorist smiling hits the nail on the head. Somebody sent me an Email power point show this morning that had 58 shots of "JUST NOW DECLASSIED" photos. Alistair, as you said, they might not have been seen but the images are etched in our minds.

Google "South Tower being hit" and you get 1610 returns for videos. Therefore, do we really need one of thousands posted here? There really is no mystery here. There was no malfunction of the aircraft or sever weather that brought it down. Someone flew a plane into a building intentionally and killed everyone onboard. Sstuff: no one is squirming here and i agree that the video will serve as a learning tool in a history class. I don't think it is "inconvinient" - you watch to many Al Gore movies. It is a truth that will never escape us. Everyone will remember that day in their own way and will never ignore it. If people do ignore it, then that is their way of coping. My point was, there is no need to post a video that is no different from the many that you can see on google or Youtube. You have not given us or posted anything new. You have not given us information that let's us learn something new. Is that not what this website is about?? And jsut becasue some newspaper posted it, it does not mean you should post it here. As the old saying goes, "just because someone jumps of a bridge, are you going to as well?". Monkey see, monkey do. Do realize that any new agency will write or post just about anything to get readers. In other words, what may make headlines in the Palm Beach Post, does not mean that it is headlines for the entire world. Again, this video is no different from the thousands that are out there already and it has not told us or taught us anyhting new. Sorry, but the post was worthless.

All the people on here talking about this being a waste of time posting the link to a video......I hope you spend as much time posting about the victory Mosque/ multicultural center that Is going to be built near ground zero, I'm sure It's a way better use of your time.

We dont need more vidios of it, we need to quietly remeber those whos lives were lost and forever changed by it. Those who were trapped for a time before they went had to be very horrable beyond anything that can be shown or thought of. May all that lost there lives or lost loved ones rest in peace. I also hope that one day these kinds of things will never happen to anyone again.

Hooray for a new video. Yet another angle of innocent people getting murdered by human scum.

@rwb2112: You are missing the point. No one here wants to forget it. As a matter of fact, it would be hard to forget with all the news coverage of it each year. Furthermore, if someone lost a loved one in the towers or if they narrowly escaped from the attack, would you question their choice of trying to forget? Some people will try to forget as a coping mechanism to move on with their lives. Everybody grives in different ways. The point was, we did not need a video posted that taught us nothing. This video is no different from all the others out there that we have all seen. It is a video of hundreds of people being murdered. No mystery behind that. So the question remains: what is the point of posting it?

I can't understand how the "people of Islam" can still get on American aircraft without being searched when the metal detector goes off? I was getting on a flight at KDCA a few months ago, and a muslim dressed in the traditional garb, set the metal detector off 4 times, and was waved through, because their "religion" forbids them from being touched below their neck. And they are killing people all in the name of "their" god

I hate to bring up racial profiling but ain't that the very reason TSA and all the security was set up for in the first place. They either need to get touched or stay off the plane. No better than anyone else in that respect. That's stupid

In response to alistair morrison’s second post of four (so far) in this discussion:

1) “Someone flew a plane into a building intentionally and killed everyone onboard.” Someone? We know who it was. Why the indefinite “someone” pronoun? A plane? There were two planes in Manhattan. A building? There were two buildings in Manhattan. Everyone onboard? Yes, and that same act *also* murdered thousands of innocent Americans within the buildings and perhaps pedestrians below, to say nothing of the Pentagon’s occupants and a plane’s passengers in a Pennsylvania farm field. 2) “ . . . i [sic] agree that the video will serve as a learning tool in a history class. I don't think it is “inconvinient” [sic] - you watch to [sic] many Al Gore movies.” Wait! Do you mean Al Gore made more than one movie? Oh, damn! I missed the first one, as well as the others! My Godchild, and many hundreds of thousand’s of other school children, were *forced* to see Al Gore’s fictionalized version of reality, but he (and presumably other country-wide American students) were *not* shown a real-world, non-fictionalized, historical clip under discussion here. Dare I say a sanitized version of history by omission?

3) “My point was, there is no need to post a video that is no different from the many that you can see on google or Youtube.” For clarity, I did not post the video, despite the (unintended, I’m sure) segue from addressing me by name to the original post itself. Yes, there was a need to post it, because it is different: a different photographer, a different viewing angle, and different in that it had not been previously published. 4) “You have not given us or posted anything new. You have not given us information that let's us learn something new. Is that not what this website is about?? [sic] Oh, but I did advance new information: I was the first to offer a differing opinion from the two posts above mine. If some did not learn (or even consider) anything new, I cannot be held liable for others’ close-mindedness.

5) “. . . jsut [sic] becasue [sic] some newspaper posted it, it does not mean you should post it here.” Again, I did not post it. Although, I cannot speak for the original poster, I suspect it was posted here because it was/is aviation related. 6) “Sorry, but the post was worthless.” See the response to 5), above.

My apology for the length and tone of my post; this hot-button issue elicits strong feelings for many Americans.

Dear sstuff, please forgive Alistair, he is from Canada,(not American) so does not understand our feelings. I'm not saying he's a bad or wrong person, just has no fear, and neither should we with this Sunday. We Americans were indeed impacted for life on 9-11-01! May God keep US all safe, julianjim.

@jim garrity: Actually Jim, i am British. I hold a British and a Canadian Passport. So, your assumptions were wrong. Yes, the attack was on your home soil. Though, we had our own 9/11 with what happened in London and both Canada and the UK got dragged into Afghanistan and the UK into Iraq. The whole world was affected by 9/11. Further, how close were you to ground zero when it happened? For myself, i have been close to terror attacks. When i have been in Manila, i have only been minutes away from a bus being blown up and subsequently, having the whole city on high alert. Therefore, i do know what it feels like to be close to terror. I think you may want to check your own ignorance. I know many Americans and have many American customers. I have lost people in my life and i have also been close to terror, so i do have a good idea of how you "Americans" feel. Despite knowing this, you are right, i have no fear. If you live your life in fear, then you have lost and the enemy has won. It is not because of ignorance that i do not have fear. In the future, i suggest you get to know someone before you make assumptions of who that person is and how they think or feel. You have no idea who i am, what my life experiences have been or what i do for a living. Check yourself before you speak. Many more nationalities were in those towers then just Americans. Once again, the whole world was affected, not just "we americans" as you put it.

I have only one thing to say about this, I do not agree or disagree with putting up this video, only that the timing was a little poor since we all feel a great amount of emotion for the very sad day. But the thing that really got me reading these comments( Directly to Wayne and mgg34) that the what was said about Muslim people in general and about security was very offensive and inconsiderate. I do not appreciate the negative generalization of a religion of very kind innocent population. I think that thought should be examined before posting nonsense that is not what this aviation blog is about.

I guess I should have been a little more clear about the Islamic people, not all of them are terrorist, just the radicals. If you think they are in the U.S. looking for a better way of life, you are fooling yourself, they are here to convert you to Islam by any means necessary, including death. You can honestly tell me this is a "peaceful religion" when they want to kill you in the name of "their god" and will take themselves out in the process. If this offends you, sorry, and dont read the post. I can see the personal attacks starting already on me about what I said. This is a very sensitive subject, I agree, but this forum exists for people to express their opinions, also. What was posted by me earlier, was aviation related. TSA is discriminating.
