I happen to think that the Navajo is the best looking light twin ever made...lol

I like the ride of the 58P alot, but the looks of the DUKE is just something else.

I would have a tough choice between the 2. The last 58P that I flew on, we were coming in on an approach that the runway was slanted down (not a good picture already), with the other end going off a 400 foot embankment. In the flare (before touch down) the CoPilot raised the flaps to improve Breaking Efficiency and blew both main tires. I am in the club seating looking towards the back of the plane when it turned around 180 degrees heading down the runway, and now I am looking at where we are going and the pilots are looking at where we were. We finally got stopped, and when I opened the back door, it was over the edge and too far to jump.. Exited through the front and the front of the wing...

I had all my video gear to shoot the airshow we were going to show off the plane at (Brand New, less than 10 hours Total Time) and WOW, did we make a show... A lady asked me if I got any video of it, and I told here I was too busy holding on for dear life... Probably the only time in my life I wasn't looking for the perfect picture.

Well...... Research and Development can't see everything that we get into... They cover a lot of it... But some of it is wait and see.

That is what I call Pilot Error :) Only that broke were 2 main tires.... Not even any damage to the Wheel Hubs, or side load on the gear.

I know it was probably scary as crap but this one sounds like something anyone can look back over and laugh about...glad yall were alright.

I actually thought it was dry, and really was not funny. The animation was bad to say it best, and the voices being computer generated were flat and in no way interesting.

And I would love to owe the DUKE. I even have the RC Version and it flies great.

I have a favorite sayoing about Beechcraft; "You can buy a better airplane, but you'll never pay more!"

Having worked for a Beech dealer I can say that the Duke based at our FBO did spend alot of time being towed into & out the maintenance hanger.

I don't fly but I thought his was hilarious.

The video is funny, but like much that is said about the Duke by people who have never owned or flown one it is not factually correct -- but who would expect facts from a cartoon? ...and speaking of people who talk about the Duke having no experience with one...what "door seal issue?"

I have owned two Dukes and have over 800 hours in them. If they are properly maintained, they are excellent airplanes...the people who talk against them have never owned one....

I saw one over on the ASO airplane sales website that has been upgraded to be a turbo-prop.....It looks like a mini. King Air 90

That is hilarious. I agree with the comments of previous posters. Don't knock it if you haven't flown it. It has its problems, but so does ever other plane. Funny video though.

I flew N999AB ser#P-457 for a year out of CKM. Never had a problem in 450 hours, great IFR airplane and handled ice well if you stayed ahead of it. The only problem was a double generator failure IFR going in to MEM, nose gear collapsed on rollout.

Sorry to hear that... I know that cost a bit to repair.
