Attention GPS Flyers, This is VERY IMPORTANT
The downloaded equipment in your GPS could be faulty this cycle and seemingly should not be used in IMC critical operations. I am surprised it has not gotten more chatter. I once flew a corrupt GPS approach in IMC and it was giving very mixed signals. I spoke with Tracon about it and got a different, and safe, approach into the field. Please do ready this. It would be great if you were a little more specific in stead of fear-mongering - Many safe GPS approaches are flown daily by a variety of equipped aircraft fr Part 91 GA thru Part 121 Tranport/Commercial worldwide.
Please read the article. It was equipment specific, and had nothing to do with which FAR regs you were operating under. In was, in my opinion, well covered in the Bendix King press release that is linked to this Squawk.
Here is the email from the FAA:

I think the underlying issue was that someone forgot to incorporate the latest magnetic variations data which is updated every five years. The latest update was effective January 1, 2010.
