Full Review: Delta Inaugurates Airbus A220 into Service (+Photos)
After receiving its first A220 back in October and its four currently delivered airframes undergoing extensive route proving and familiarization as they were delivered, it’s appropriate that Delta would waste no time in pressing into service what they consider “the most comfortable narrow-body airliner in their fleet that brings widebody comfort to single-aisle aircraft.” On this very early morning at 6 AM at New York LaGuardia, the A220 era begins at Delta with flight 744 (ironically numbered)… (airwaysmag.com) Daha Fazlası...

I had my first ride in a A220 last September from Prague to Zurich. I was sitting in a window seat and my wife in a aisle seat. I could actually get out of my seat without asking my wife to stand up, reminded me of how things used to be.
.....and, the biggest irony of all- it actually left LGA on time and arrived in Boston early.
I am sure this will be great addition, however Delta has so much junk to retire, and the are choosing to keep the MD-80 which are in terrible shape rather than keep the 717 which are much newer. Delta with fly their old junk to keep profits up, shame on them. Delta has the worst equipment in the industry.

It was designed from a blank sheet by pilots and aeronautical engineers. They incorporated the latest instrumentation with the most efficient gas turbines on the market. They sip 25% less fuel than an equivalent competitor carrying 130 passengers. Just look at the layout in Delta's 220...simply efficient and gorgeous.
