Several News agencies are reporting that there have recently been several mystery low level night flights in the vicinity of Quincy Mass. The FAA says it knows who is conducting the flights but will not say why the flights are taking place. Further more the FAA apparently will not confirm to elected officials that there is no risk to residents as a result of the flights. Apparently the Malaysian Airline did not purchase a service package that costs about $10 per flight that would have provided data on MH370's location even if the transponder is shut down. Reportedly the system's use is mandatory on planes flying in the North Atlantic corridor between the Europe and the US but not on other plane routes. A Piper Comanche attempted an emergency landing in a Woodstock CT cornfield on Sunday September 8, 2013. There were no reported fatalities or injuries and no pilot has been named. From the picture it looks there was substantial damage in the area forward of the cabin and to the landing gear. Apparently, as reported, recovery of the aircraft may have to be postponed until the surrounding corn is harvested. A plane has crashed near Chester Airport in southern Connecticut 1 occupant has died and another is reported to be to injured and was flown by Life Star to an area hospital. No details have been reported on the aircraft type nor on the names of the occupants. The plane was reportedly in contact with Bradley airport prior to it crashing in an heavily wooded area. Newscom.au is reporting the MH370 Captain had 5 airports on his flight simulator including Male International Airport in the Maldives, Diego Garcia and three runways in India and Sri Lanka. What is interesting is that these airports are all air in a proximity of where MH370 could have reached.
