From my point of view, then it seems that the questions being asked by the FAA to Boeing are fair. The GE engine needs to be safe, before it can be added to the total package by the FAA, and Boeing. No one should have to worry that an engine is going to fail during icing conditions. Instead of hoping and wishing that this engine will be safe, then it will have all parties agreeing that the engine is safe, for the crews of the aircraft, as well as each passenger.

A great incentive to fly on another carrier.

Long flight's don't work for me. If the flight is more than 12 hours and I am not in first class, then I want out after 12 hours. Even , the 12 hours would be risky for me, as I have leg problems. So, Quants and Airbus can forget about me flying with them. The reality is, that I will be watching travel video's of Australia, and other parts of the South Pacific. When supersonic commercial aircraft return to the skies, then I may be enticed to fly to this zone of the world. Until then...

Only at Midway, or was that an aircraft carrier?

Airlines are going to screw themselves, and the only people flying in thesee compartments will be the sultans of the middle East. Already many people have had enough of airports with the TSA jamming the flying experience down our collective throats. The airline personnel who maintain the customer relations are stressed out of their minds, but the customer still wants them to accomplish the impossible, and when they can't, then the people take umbrage with the airline representatives. It is a hassle to get to must airports and the time spent getting to the airport, going through the baggage check-in with many restrictions, and the TSA, is more than most people can stand. People are begging for alternatives that can cover a four or five hundred mile trip without the endangerment to their sanity. How weird is the discrimination of the oil sheiks, who do not want to fly with the common people on an aircraft, and hence, the flight cubicles for these people. Most of the people who can afford

Well the requirements for Mexican Visa may be more in another country, than it is for a US citizen to go and return with Mexico. To date only a US passport is required. However, going to Cuba will be a horse of different color. The idea for a way to cross to the Tijuana, Mexico Airport was born out of the fact they have international flights that don't leave from San Diego International. However, since the time that this idea and the approval was something well over five years ago. Since that time BAW has a flight to London, and there is a flight to Tokyo, but I am not sure of the airline, through San Diego. Quite frankly, I don't see what the improvement is with Tijuana airport over San Diego's airport. Both are single runway airports with little or no room for expansion. The facilities at SDI are much nicer than the sister city to the South. Having the similarities out of the way, then the one advantage is flying to points in Mexico from Tijuana is an advantage. Currently one must eit

Will we (public) ever know what happened to this flight? It seems that something from this flight could be found in one of the promising areas that have been shown by the press. Maybe the Chinese where right in saying that something happened to this flight, but did it crash. All of the satellite information is either inconclusive, or it has some sort of criteria attached to it. The mathematics in behind all of these theories about where it crashed, have not produced one scrap of this plane. Malaysian Airlines Flight 390 had nearly a full flight, and it would seem that if it hit the water at 200 miles per hour or greater, then it would have broken up. Some parts of the plane would have sank, but things like seat cushions would have floated. The whole scenario is difficult to believe. Wouldn't it be a surprise if this plane actually was to fly again?
