Boeing Announces Garuda Order for 50 Planes
SEATTLE — Oct 12, 2014, 4:03 PM ET Associated Press Boeing Co. says that Garuda Indonesia placed an order for 50 jets with a total sticker price of $4.9 billion. Airlines often get steep discounts off list prices for jets. Boeing said Sunday that Garuda will buy 46 of its 737 Max 8 aircraft and convert orders for four other 737s to the Max 8. Garuda Finalizes $4.9b Order for Newest Series of 737 Aircraft From Boeing
Jakarta. National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia finalized a $4.9 billion order of 50 units of 737 MAX 8 aircraft from US aerospace giant Boeing as part of the airliner’s fleet modernization program, Boeing said in a statement on Monday.
The order includes the purchase of 46 Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets and a conversion of four existing orders.
