If that is true - isn't that a good argument for keeping our ATC system public and not private. I do recall there were some delays when then-President Reagan fired the controllers who were members of a union.
I think he did the right thing. The controller's union was getting too "uppity" and that was reflected, more and more, in the attitude of individual controllers. More than once I had to remind some "smart-mouth" bully that HE was working for ME...not the other way around.
There are some functions that enable a capitalist country to work better, if govt. handles it...I think ATC is a good example.
Bottom line...if you don't like your job...working conditions...etc...STOP WHINING AND QUIT !
I not aware of any law that says you have a right to ride around in an airliner. If you don't like the service...don't partake of it. There are busses...cars...trains. You want to ride in an airplane ..and don't like the present providers...buy your own...(of course some people think it unfair that some of us have more money than others.....we call them...COMMUNISTS....!
