McDonnell Douglas FA-18 Hornet (18-8738)
Lethbridge Ejection during practice.
Comments
...........and away we go!!!
Nice timing
There goes a boatload of cash.
Ground shot or aerial shot? And do they regularly practice ejections? Expensive training, if you ask me.
during practice for the airshow
Really R Beers?!?!? No, not practiced. This jet is toast and hopefully pilot ok, scary situation anyway you look at it.
If you look closely one engine nacelle fully open as if after-burner is lit and the other is closed down. May or may not have anything to do with incident but possible engine trouble. That happens near the ground it's always iffy.
a great capture
Whatever happens it is pretty traumatic for the pilot.
A sudden propulsion from below!
