— — - My other post for today is something a bit different. I waited as long as I could to snap it, but just as the sun broke over the horizon behind me and began shining over the airport, two of the five American Airlines aircraft in this scene radioed that they were ready to push back, so I could not wait any longer. Four different AAL liveries are present in this click: (from left to right) N750UW (A319) still wearing US Airways attire, N838AW (A319) in heritage America West clothing, N892NN (B738) in the former R,W, and B on silver paint scheme, and then N991AN and N963NN (B738s) in the new livery. All five AA birds had spent their overnight hours at Reno.

I love this shot Gary. The lighting is just amazing in this shot. This was almost certainly a one time capture and will probably never be seen again with all these different liveries of American Airlines since the old US Airways colors and Old American Airlines colors being phased out. Can't be sure but it also looks like you also snagged a US Airways Express (I'm guessing Skywest) to the right of the 737s. Anyway well done and 5 Stars!

Mark and Dwight: Much Thanx to both of you for the comments. Only a few moments earlier, the sun was still down below the Virginia Range Mountains behind me and everything was in shadow so the shot was dark and the liveries were barely discernible from my position. (And Mark, you've got a darn good eye; it is a SkyWest CRJ back there.)
