Mitsubishi A6M Zero (N712Z)
It was rather surprising to find this on the KTRK ramp with absolutely no one around admiring it.

Hi, Jeff, and TY for the info re: its "home base." (Thumbs Up)
Howdy again, Boss, and TY again for the kind compli.
Paul ... It sure nuff is. I was there for a rather lengthy period of time and no one came up to check it out. And there were folks around. I'd have thought there would have been others there with cameras. Anyway, it sure is a beauty.

The A6m, F6F and Semper Fi (B25-PBJ) flew a demo of persuit and defend at RAR 2019 -- was a really great show for the Warbirds
Super Find & Photo Gary.........
What a Rare Bird.
What a Rare Bird.
Great shot Gary! But I always lament the fact that of all people, the CAF got "Wussified" and changed the word "Confederate."
Beautiful shot of an awesome fighter.
But this one's got a good old P & W up front!

if you read the history, Japan had a contract with Pratt & Whitney before WWII in which P&W provided engines for fighter planes and other aircraft. It is, therefore, conceivable that some of the planes participating in the Pearl Harbor attack could have been powered by American engines.

@Mark: The organization was originally known as the Confederate Air Force. Following a membership vote in 2001 and made effective on January 1, 2002, the organization is now called the Commemorative Air Force. The name was changed to better reflect the mission of the organization.
