5 stars+ right there! Where was this taken Gary? I know RNO has a runway 25 but it's a single the background doesn't seem quite right. (In case you load it before this gets read, at the time I saw this pic there was no location).

Gavin ... My apologies. I was in the process of uploading two photos yesterday and I figured I'd just add in the related info and remarks after I finished the uploads ... and then I forgot to put in the location of this pic. But Alien knows his California airports, and he has IDed this one precisely. This is indeed LAX (I'll fill in the Airport Code box now), and not only is he spot-on about the airport, he is also 100% correct about the spotting location -- this was clicked from Imperial Hill. Man, I'll tell ya, these LA area aviation photogs have the most wonderful photo-snapping locations in the world. This location (Imperial Hill) is just one of nine I went to while I was there ... and there are MORE but I wasn't there long enough to go to them all. These folks have it GREAT! Plus, of course, this is LAX. LAX! I am definitely not a "fan" of all the humidity, all the traffic and all the gazillions of people, but this airport is FANTABULOUS! And when I was at the Imperial Hill position, I met a couple guys who were super friendly and helpful. They showed me a couple of locations that are (let's just say) "off the regular photo taking grid" and in return I showed them a couple of ways to snap aviation pics that they weren't familiar with. All in all, an amazingly wonderful airport with some super aviation photogs. And again, Gavin, sorry about leaving out the airport code. Many Thanx to both you and Alien for the complis. (Wave)
