Airbus A340-600 (EC-IZX)
Flashback (Eleven years ago back to 2011) ~~
IBE's "Mariano Benlliure" (EC-IZX, an A346) is captured (in this snap taken thru a terminal window) as it taxies away from the International Terminal at O'Hare.
* A couple of years later, this one was repainted into the new IBE livery. It continued flying for Iberia until May, 2020, when it was wfu and put in storage at Madrid. As best as I have been able to determine, it is still in storage status there.
Comments
I was offered the opportunity to step outside (to stand by that railing) to take my pics but I simply had too much lens. If I had accepted, it meant I would have been closer and that bird was so long I would not have been able to get it all in the shot as it went by. So I declined and stayed inside the terminal. As is obvious, I did get it all in. However, the window was tinted AND there was also a dimly lit area behind me that reflected in the window, so this was an instance when either choice offered both an advantage and a disadvantage.
