The airfield is not looked after well by the city of Mangum. There is one employee there who tries his best to keep the airfield maintained. This was evident by the appearance of tall weeds on the runway. The FBO building is not well looked after and there is an opening over the carport allowing birds and other critters to get into the building. Finally, the courtesy car that is at the airport had a dead battery. You can either walk to the gas station 1 mile at the end of the road or walk an extra 1.5 miles to go to downtown, or as the sign says call the local police and hope they can give you a ride into town.
