I'd be willing to bet this was all but an accident... for legal reasons. A plane that doesn't exist can't upset any 'real' manufacture.

Saw one mistake near the end of the trailer. It's highly doubtful that the place the plane crashed would have been at sea level yet at the moment of impact it shows 0 on the altimeter.
