The Most Incredible Seaplane Flight

Who writes the headlines for these posts? The poster or the 12 year old (journalists) at flightaware.com? Am I the only one who is sick and tired of seeing the following "exclamations" in every other headline?
"Amazing" "Most Incredible" "Absolutely the Most Incredible and Amazing..." And it's not only on this site. It seems that posters around the net, be it on blogs, news consolidators, Youtube etc, etc. believe that unless you trump up the headline, then nobody will read your post. Either that or the vast majority of them have very, very boring lives and need to get out and experience some actual amazing aspects of everyday life. Go watch a sunset or a baby's first steps and then write the most over-the-top hyperbole headline you can imagine. We'll be in total agreement.

Silly exaggerations ? I don't think you are being fair. You are making the same mistake I made about this "site". Obviously you and I were under the misapprehension that this "site" is a technical one for those of us actually involved in aviation. As such, it was and is still a good tool for us.

The problem is obvious - more and more people are drifting in here, whose only connection to REAL aviation is as "wanna-be's", with a desperate desire to to be acknowledged. Of course we ALL feel that flying is a magical gift. Of course people feel a need to be eloquent in expressing their wonder at it.

So, I guess we should get used to the fact that some contributions in here, even amongst the editorial staff, will not be technical discussons relevant to the subject matter, but simply the "mouthing off" by over-enthusiastic "outsiders" to the REAL wonderful world of aviation
