Virgin Atlantic files for bankruptcy in the US
Virgin Atlantic has filed for bankruptcy in the United States as the global airline industry reels from the coronavirus pandemic. The company, which is based in the United Kingdom, filed for Chapter 15 bankruptcy protection in New York on Tuesday. Virgin Atlantic hasn't been immune from the airline industry's pandemic problems. In July, the company received a £1.2 billion ($1.5 billion) rescue deal to keep the airline solvent just days before it was due to resume passenger flights. Sorry, I didn't see the earlier squawk about this.

Exactly!
Branson begged for money from the Trump admin and got it. Stuck it in his pocket and filed bankruptcy one month later. As did most of the US banking system. = Too Big to Fail. The rest of them will follow suit after next shutdown. End of first inning.
It is ironic that when billionaires own companies, and the companies go bankrupt, their personal fortunes are not affected EVEN THOUGH a lot of their personal fortunes came from the bankrupted companies. I like Sir Richard, though. He is one of the few people to have said no to Trump.
THIS IS SAD..I HAVE NEVER FLOWN ON THAT AIRLINE,BUT I DONT RECALL READING ANY BAD PRESS ABOUT IT..IM SURE MR BRANSON IS FEELING A BIT SAD,EVEN THOUGH HE NO LONGER OWNS THE VIRGIN ATLANTIC BRAND..
