Bombardier sells CRJ line
Today, June 25th 2019, Bombardier Aerospace has signed a deal to sell the Canadair Regional Jet program to Mitsubishi. The deal worth $550 Million is for the sale of all maintenance support services, marketing and sales, and refurbishments. The sale also includes the support facilities located in Montreal, Toronto, Bridgeport West Virginia and Tucson Arizona. The only facility Bombardier will be keeping from the CRJ line for the time being is the plant where the CRJ is currently built in Mirabel… (www.youtube.com) Daha Fazlası...It isn't a done deal yet, and hopefully Bombardier doesn't count their eggs as the chickens have not left the building.
One can only hope!
Gee, and after hitting up the Can Gov for $375M and the Quebec Gov for $1 billion in loan guarantees for the “C” series which they sold to Airbus, just where are the $$$ ending up?
Exactly where they said it would go, maintaining the C-Series as they divest out. They've had cash flow issues for a long time. The CRJs have been loosing money for a while and the model is long overdue for a refresh. They just don't have the cash to stay competitive. Sad facts.
At least the A220 seems to be finally selling well, so their final contribution to passenger aviation will endure for some time.

Anywhere they want. It’s their money.
